Gathers is very much still in the development stage.

For this update I have mostly been fixing systems and getting the environment working properly. Lots of optimisation has gone on too. 

The gameplay has not really had much of an extention.

So whats new?


Environment:

Water mechanic rebuilt from scratch. Tidal flow now in place, groundwater seeps, pools remain for longer, the land erodes. I am much happier with it and it feels like it works authentically (well for blocks anyway).

Rain cycle improved. Less random jumps from no rain to full on downpour. The weather is still random but it can move from very dry to very wet in a much more regulated way.

Sheep replenish the soil in the way you might expect.

Block type is blended across elevations for more dynamic worlds.

Blocks property systems and value updates redesigned to work better.

New Rain and cloud artwork

Refined sunset and sunrise colour system. It's pretty

Rain and Sheep sound effects

New water artwork


People:

New model with hoods up in the rain

Better tracking when swimming and walking

Paths created when walking

Marker now shown when walking

Some animation refinements


Sheep:

Sheep logic redesigned. The eat, they run away, they seek out fresh grass, they poo, All much better.

They are better at running away from you

They have found their voices

New sheep can arrive on the edges of the map


UI:

Menu redesign

Loading system takes longer but is kinder to the CPU

In game menu tweeks and size altered

Some buttons renamed

Tips added


Thats about it.
